Industry news--- What lights will turn on when the sensor is broken?

2024-12-23

Sensor failures can cause a variety of fault lights to light up on the dashboard, including:

.‌Engine Fault Light: When the water temperature sensor is damaged, the engine control unit receives the wrong water temperature signal, which may cause the mixture to be out of proportion, thus lighting up the engine fault light.

.‌Tire pressure monitoring light: When the tire pressure sensor is faulty, the tire pressure monitoring system cannot accurately obtain tire pressure data, and the tire pressure monitoring light will be triggered.

.‌ABS fault light: When the wheel speed sensor is damaged, the ABS control unit cannot receive the accurate wheel speed signal, causing the ABS fault light to light up.

.‌Airbag light: The airbag light will light up when the collision sensor in the airbag system fails.

.‌Oxygen sensor failure light: Oxygen sensor failure will cause the engine control unit to be unable to accurately determine the amount of gasoline injected, which in turn will affect the concentration of the mixture, causing the engine fault light to light up.

.‌Electronic Stability System (ESP) Faulty Light: Damage to the wheel speed sensor may affect the normal operation of the ESP, causing the light to illuminate.

.‌Brake System Fault Light: A problem with the wheel speed sensor may interfere with the operation of the brake system, causing the brake fault light to illuminate.

.‌Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) Fault Lights: In some models, damage to the wheel speed sensor can cause the VSC to not function properly, thus lighting up the VSC fault light.

.‌Water Temperature Sensor Failure Lamp: When the water temperature sensor fails, it may cause the engine cooling system to not work properly and the water temperature to spike, which in turn will turn on the engine fault light.

.‌Temperature sensor fault light: The temperature sensor problem will affect the fuel injection adjustment of the engine, resulting in abnormal gas mixture, which may turn on the engine fault light.

.‌Throttle Position Sensor Fault Light: A faulty throttle position sensor can cause the engine to idle unsteadily, and there will be significant shaking when the vehicle is running, which may cause the engine fault light to illuminate.
